hi, I've just accepted a place to study graphic design and illustration in university in september... I was wondering if you could tell me what to expect variety-wise at the beginning of the course... I'm coming from an art and design course where we did everything from print making to mixed media. will I be faffing around with all that stuff again? or can I expect to be treated more so as a developing professional?

It really depends on where you’re attending. Some universities are more experimental where as others will focus on more commercial work - the uni I went to focused more on commercial styled work, an I think I reaped the rewards as it enabled me to get immediate success within the industry.

I think you should just embrace anything they throw at you as it will always help you as a designer!
